Amara's Story: From Prison to Purpose
After 3 years of wrongful detention, Amara is now a community advocate helping others navigate the legal system in Lagos.

The Joe & Jane Humanitarian Foundation defends human rights and supports vulnerable communities across Africa and beyond.
What We Do
Six interconnected programs addressing the root causes of injustice, poverty, and inequality.

Campaigns to free innocently detained individuals, legal aid programs, and advocacy for the wrongfully imprisoned.

Counseling, skill-building, and support networks for ex-detainees rebuilding their lives.

Community food drives and partnerships with local organizations to end hunger in underserved communities.

Advocacy against child marriage and campaigns for equal access to education for every girl.

Awareness campaigns and community outreach to end the practice of female circumcision.

Legal assistance for child support and empowerment workshops helping divorced women reclaim independence.

Our Mission
Defending human rights and creating pathways for justice.
Our Foundation
We envision a world where every individual lives free from injustice, poverty, and discrimination — and we work tirelessly to make that vision real.
Every person deserves fair treatment under the law, regardless of background.
We lead with empathy in every program and every community we serve.
We build capacity so communities can sustain their own futures.
Equal rights for every individual — no exceptions.
